Supergirl Soars With Two Clips From Tonight’s New Episode

As expected, the first of the Arrowverse shows to premiere this fall, Supergirl, kicked things off with a bang. Not only did it continue delivering all the drama, action and tenderness that we've come to love from this series, but it also firmly established a new status quo.

By that, we’re referring to Lena Luthor’s purchasing of CatCo – the very same media outlet employing the likes of Kara Danvers and James Olsen. Admittedly, this is better for everyone, lest the grossly corrupt Morgan Edge take over operations, but we can’t help but ponder if Lena’s possible villainous turn down the road will ultimately spell trouble for the fifth estate’s freedom.

For better or worse, the first of two sneak peeks we have to present shows her getting to know the landscape, with James and Kara each having very different reactions to the new boss. Quite frankly, this bold move made by the writers will once again make CatCo relevant to the ongoing story, as it seemed to not have much of a place in the grand scheme of season 2.

As for the second clip, it picks up the pace by introducing us to this week’s villain, Psi. Living up to her namesake, she proves to be a powerful adversary with psychic powers, but I guess situations like this are when it helps to have a Martian friend to call upon. Unfortunately for J’onn J’onzz, though, Psi may very well be more formidable in this arena.

Supergirl airs on Monday nights on The CW.
