That’s been dubbed “Flashpoint,” and while Barry will be enjoying having his mother and father around him when season three starts, he’s also going to start losing the memories of his past life and the fact that he’s The Flash. Throw in the fact that changing the timeline will inevitably have some negative effects (including the Reverse-Flash still being alive), and the Scarlet Speedster is going to need to set things right – which is teased in the new promo above.

There, we get to see The Flash seemingly attempting to figure out a way back by utilizing the help of a very different version of Cisco. It’s already been confirmed that these changes will only last a few episodes, but it should still be interesting to follow Barry’s journey as he navigates this new reality on the way back to the one we’ve come to know and love.

Expect more to be revealed over the coming weeks as we get ready for The Flash‘s return to The CW on October 4th.
