That’s because when he made his first trip to the future and witnessed the murder of Iris West at the hands of Savitar, he also saw a news report about Plunder’s trial. Determined to prove he can change the future, the fact that Plunder is now in Iron Heights may well disprove that theory, and that’s potentially bad news for the Scarlet Speedster’s one true love.

For more on what to expect from this episode of The Flash – titled “Borrowing Problems From The Future” – here’s the official synopsis:

BARRY FIGHTS FOR IRIS — Barry (Grant Gustin) is tormented by his vision of the future where Iris (Candice Patton) is murdered by Savitar. When a criminal named Plunder (guest star Stephen Huszar) shows up in Central City, Barry recalls the villain’s presence in his vision of the future and fears that if he catches Plunder, it will cement Iris’ fate. Confused about Barry’s hesitation to stop Plunder, Wally (Keiynan Lonsdale) decides to step in as Kid Flash. Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) offers Julian (Tom Felton) a job. Millicent Shelton directed the episode written by Grainne Godfree & David Kob.

H.G.’s decision to turn S.T.A.R. Labs into a museum may seem like a relatively unimportant subplot, but this could be a precursor to the creation of the Flash Museum. In the comic books, it’s opened in Central City to celebrate the achievements of the Fastest Man Alive, and it may become a staple of The CW series at some point in the near future.

For now, though, Barry and Kid-Flash are going to have to learn to put their differences aside, and we’ll find out whether or not that will be possible this Tuesday on The Flash.
