Reddit users are duly impressed with this romantic work of art.

Here’s an idea for all The Last of Us fans out there struggling to come up with a romantic dessert for their Valentine’s Day dinner (because we believe the majority of TLOU fans are smart enough to avoid the outrageous price markups of dining out on the holiday): Make an intricately-detailed pie that pays tribute to the surviving and enduring love (sob) of everyone’s favorite postapocalyptic and uninfected couple, Bill and Frank.

If you’re lucky, the pie will come out looking a little something like the one posted (and presumably baked) by Reddit user ThePieous (@ThePieous):

The pie was inspired by a scene in the third episode of the series, in which Frank, played by Murray Bartlett, surprises his partner Bill, played by Nick Offerman, with a sweet little strawberry patch that provides them with something that they seemingly hadn’t had in a long time: Fresh fruit.

Reddit users were suitably impressed with the pastry homage. “”Holy cow! That thing is epic, great work,” posted one commenter, while another said simply, “A work of art.” Not to be outdone, yet another user took the opportunity to make the excellent pun, “A work of tart.”

The photo has gone viral, as any fan of the popular HBO series could’ve guessed, with Twitter user AskAubry (@ask_aubry) reportedly brought to tears by the edible homage to this crusty ol’ couple, and another Twitter user providing the perfect reaction meme:

All this is testament to the fact that TLOU viewers really connected to Bill and Frank’s love story, which is both beautiful and tragic. Here’s hoping your Valentine’s Day is filled with plenty of the former and none of the latter, however — or whether — you choose to celebrate.
