Titans Season Finale Trailer Finally Reveals Batman

Even though it was never an absolute requirement for Batman to appear on Titans, it’s something I think many DC fans wanted to see happen in some capacity. Similar to how The CW’s Supergirl eventually introduced its own iteration of Superman, it’s understandable for people to be curious about what this universe’s take on Batman looks like.

Well, now that the trailer for the breathtaking season finale has hit the web earlier than expected (episode 1×10 drops today), we’ve been given our first look at the Dark Knight – and it appears as though he’s gone off the deep end. Really, check out the video found above and judge for yourself.

On top of that, even more delicious hints at what’s to come are given: Jason Todd is apparently paralyzed, Commissioner Gordon is dead, and Batman plans on killing the Joker. Sounds like the sh*t is really hitting the fan.

From what can be gathered, Dick Grayson will have to step up so that his mentor can be put in check. The footage gives us the impression that he’s gone medieval on his rogues gallery, with the Joker seen face down and apparently dead. And if that weren’t enough, the Caped Crusader slaughters an entire SWAT team.

If I were to hazard a guess, there’s much more than meets the eye to Batman’s supposed murderous rampage. Perhaps he’s been corrupted by Trigon, or maybe he’s gone for the nuclear option and finally had it with supervillains. Those intimately familiar with comics should remember Earth-51’s version of him seen in Countdown to Final Crisis, wherein he took a page out of Frank Castle’s playbook.

In any case, we’ll soon find out what’s in store as Titans airs on Fridays on DC Universe.
