Tom Hiddleston Teases Even More Surprises In Loki Season 2

When you break it down, Disney Plus series Loki may have dropped more bombshells from start to finish than any other Marvel Cinematic Universe project, which is no small feat when we're talking about a franchise that's completely reinvented blockbuster cinema, and now episodic television.

Tom Hiddleston’s trickster became canonically bisexual, got a love interest after basically falling for himself thanks to Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie, we discovered that the multiverse was being kept in check by the Time Variance Authority, who were eventually revealed to be in the employ of Kang the Conqueror, who was subsequently murdered to send the multiverse into a state of total chaos.

That’s without even mentioning all of the other variants we either met or were hinted towards, the overarching conspiracy that saw Mobius turn against his paymasters and still not get to ride that goddam jet ski, all before it was confirmed as the MCU’s first streaming series to be getting a second season. Whew.

Somehow, though, Hiddleston is teasing that Season 2 is going to have even more surprises in store, which is a daunting task when you consider the entire fabric of time, space and reality has been altered forever thanks to Sylvie letting her thirst for revenge get the better of her.

“I am so grateful that we got to do Season 1, I still am not quite able to process that we get to have another go at this. I am so excited by the possibilities. We are already in discussions. Deep, deep, deep discussions. I can’t wait to get started. I want to say thank you to the audience because without the audience, we wouldn’t be able to make a Season 2. I hope Season 1 was full of surprises. And I think Season 2 will be full of even more.”

Looking at the sheer scale of the production, it could be a while before we see the trickster back to headline another run of multiversal adventures, but there’s every chance we could see him make at least a cameo or two before Loki returns for another round on Disney Plus, if it can find room on the schedule in among the other MCU shows heading our way.
