AMC is giving fans an early dose of The Walking Dead before the series’ October 14th Season 3 premiere, in the form of a series of webisodes starting on October 1st.

The web only shorts titled Cold Storage, will consist of four five-minute installments to be directed by series co-executive producer and all-around amazing special effects master, Greg Nicotero. The webisodes will star Daniel Roebuck, who some may remember as Dr. Arzt from the ABC series LOST.

Cold Storage tells the story of a young man, Chase (played by Josh Stewart), trying to reach his sister in the early days of the zombie apocalypse. He finds temporary shelter in a storage facility run by a former employee named B.J. (Roebuck); however, things are not what they appear.

This isn’t the first time AMC has pushed The Walking Dead onto the web. They did a series of webisodes last year, which told the story of how ‘bicycle girl’ from Season 1’s premiere met her end. So it looks like this could be a yearly expectation from AMC.
