Fox are betting on Ryan Murphy to once more bring them a stoking horror hit. The American Horror Story creator’s next small screen series, Scream Queens, has amassed a huge, starry cast, and boasts a quirky premise. While we’ve still some time to go until the show debuts this fall, Fox has just dropped its first teaser – and it looks like a lot of fun.

As teasers go, it’s remarkably brief, but this type of sneak peek isn’t about actual footage or story. No, rather, it’s about awareness. Seeing as it’s Friday the 13th, this makes it the perfect time to clue in potential viewers to another blood-soaked series that’s gearing up to hit the small screen.

Starring Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Joe Manganiello, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Ariana Grande, Nick Jonas, Billie Lourd and Skyler Samuels, it’s expected to revolve around a college campus setting. By the title and ‘horror comedy’ tag, you might be able to warrant a guess as to what occurs during termtime – murder!

So far, the network has ordered 15 hour-long episodes for its first season, and from what we understand, Scream Queens will adopt the anthology format that thrust American Horror Story to mainstream stardom.

We’ll find out if lightning strikes thrice for Murphy and co. when Scream Queens debuts on Fox later this year.
