Of course, this admiration has led many to wonder about which studio is behind the show, and based on its anime-inspired style, many are pondering if Japan was somehow involved in the project. Although, if we think about it, cartoons produced by American companies and that debut in American networks are typically also animated by U.S.-based studios… right? Well, not always, and certainly not this time.

While DC Studios and Warner Bros. Animation were responsible for producing the show, there was another studio in the mix. According to Animation Magazine, My Adventures with Superman was animated by Studio Mir, a South Korean company based in Seoul. The studio is known for working on big projects such as The Legend of Korra, The Boondocks, and Voltron: Legendary Defender.

If you think this is the first time Studio Mir takes on the challenge of animating a DC series, think again. In the past, the studio was also involved in bringing to our screens Harley Quinn, The Death of Superman, Batman: Soul of the Dragon, and Batman and Superman: Battle of the Super Sons, among others.

The first two episodes of the series are already out, and if they’re anything to go by, it looks like Studio Mir did an incredible job.
