When did ‘Vanderpump Rules’ stars Scheana and Brock get married?

Let's just say it wasn't when they shared their vows on television.

Season 10 of the reality TV hit Vanderpump Rules gave us all the juicy drama we could have hoped for and the most heartwarming fairytale romance of our dreams. Well, not our dreams — Scheana Shay and Brock Davies’.

The longtime couple have been happily hitched since 2019 when they met at a music festival (something Davies promised in his vows he’ll never do without Shay). During the April 12 episode of Vanderpump Rules, they finally shared their vows and sealed the deal with a kiss in front of family, friends, and us, the prized viewers. As parents of their young daughter Summer Moon, it couldn’t have been more special to see this small family celebrate their love so openly and wholesomely.

However, it turns out the deal had been sealed long before the pair said “I do.” And we’re not talking about a couple of days or weeks. No, Shay and Davies legally bound their love in a private ceremony long before they walked the aisle, a fact Shay sprung on her shocked bridesmaids during that same episode.

When did Scheana and Brock get married? Did they elope?

While lounging with her bridesmaids during the April 12 episode, Shay revealed that she and Davies got married a full year before their public ceremony. According to Shay, they decided to elope in order to save Davies from visa troubles and grant him INS Green Card status. Davies was born in New Zealand, and raised in Australia.

“When his investor’s visa needed to get changed, I also wanted him to be able to get his green card. We have a baby together, we know we’re going to be together forever, so we just literally said a couple of words, signed the paper.”

During her private confessional, Shay continued:

“We did this because we want a life together. We have a baby together, and I didn’t matter that it was done in front 100 people or four people.”

When host Andy Cohen pressed Shay about the private wedding during part two of the season 10 reunion, Shay said it had been nice to have that little secret to themselves, even though keeping it tight lipped was torturous at times.

“We wanted to celebrate our love privately. We share a child together, we live together, so with the green card and all that, I was like, ‘Let’s get it going. I want to marry you.’ It was nice to have that little secret for us because we didn’t get married for anyone other than us.”

Technically, Shay and Brock had their wedding ceremony on August 23, 2022, eight months before the episode aired on Vanderpump Rules. If they indeed got married exactly a year earlier, we can assume their wedding certificate reads August 2021.

Here’s when you can watch all three parts of the season 10 reunion on Peacock.
