Where can I watch ‘My Adventures With Superman’?

Here's where you can catch 'My Adventures With Superman', premiering tonight at midnight.

My Adventures With Superman is shaping up to be a great addition to DC’s animated canon – and a loving ode to the Man of Steel. In fact, the series has already debuted with an eye-popping 100 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, and its animation looks absolutely fantastic.

Fans of animation or DC more broadly will definitely want to check it out when it premieres. In fact, this project represents the first Superman-centric animated series since the end of Superman: The Animated Series back in 2000, so while the series has a lot to live up to, it looks to be in safe hands.

My Adventures With Superman is set to debut on Adult Swim at 12:00am EST on July 7. The premiere is actually going to be a two-part episode, titled “Adventures of a Normal Man”. Don’t worry if you don’t have cable – the show will then be available for streaming on Max the next day.

My Adventures With Superman will feature a young Superman as he sets out to build his secret identity at the Daily Planet and investigate his mysterious past. Joining him is intrepid young reporter Lois Lane, who’s well on her way to becoming a star journalist. Rounding out the trio is young Jimmy Olsen, Lois and Clark’s photographer. The three of them set out to break the stories that matter, while also saving the day from supervillains looking to destroy Metropolis.

In a twist of irony, the big blue boy scout will be voiced by Jack Quaid of The Boys fame. While he’s used to facing off against an evil Superman-like character, here Quaid will instead be taking up the mantle of truth, justice, and the American way. And if you haven’t seen The Boys, just know Quaid’s performance there gives me an optimistic outlook for his portrayal of Superman – he’s definitely got range.

Meanwhile, Alice Lee, who portrayed Emily on Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, will be portraying Lois Lane. Based on the way Lois has been depicted in promo materials, Lee is set to retain Lois’ bold, firecracker personality while still bringing her own twist to the character.

Ishmel Sahid will be portraying Jimmy Olsen. Last seen on Freevee’s Jury Duty, Sahid’s portrayal marks a departure from recent depictions of Jimmy. Most adaptations have the character fade into the background or have treated him as comic relief, finding him too ‘old-fashioned’, but it looks like My Adventures With Superman will feature plenty of Sahid’s performance as the young photographer.

Other notable names joining the cast include Fear Street‘s Kiana Madeira, who will be playing Supergirl, Lost‘s Michael Emerson as Braniac, and noted voice actress Catherine Taber as Silver Banshee. Many more characters – some of whom have not had their voice actors or actresses revealed just yet – are also set to make their debut on the show.
