Jimmy Fallon accusations prove Conan O’Brien’s ‘Tonight Show’ loss put us on the darkest timeline possible

After Jimmy Fallon was accused of fostering a toxic workplace on The Tonight Show, it makes us wonder: "What if?"

You see, The Tonight Show was was hosted by Conan O'Brien for less than a year long before Fallon took the helm.

Due to a conflict caused by NBC wanting to bump O'Brien from his timeslot in favor of re-instating Jay Leno, O'Brien and the network parted ways.

As a result, O'Brien left The Tonight Show, Leno become the host again, and Late Night host Fallon waited in the wings as its next successor.

It stands to reason that if the NBC conflict never happened, O'Brien might still be the host of The Tonight Show to this day, and not Fallon.

O'Brien went on to host Conan on TBS and has since gone on to produce successful podcasts. He's also going to host a new travel show on Max called Conan O'Brien Must Go.
