This is pretty good news. Hillcoat is a great director who may have made some mistakes with The Road, but showed us his true talent with The Proposition. And in front of the camera, LaBeouf and Hardy will be great together, both are extremely talented young actors who usually manage to entertain. There are also heavy rumors that Ryan Gosling, another talented individual, will take the role of the third brother. So imagine that, Gosling, LaBeouf and Hardy in a John Hillcoat film. Sounds good to me.
