Destiny Year One VIP Rewards Detailed As The Taken King DLC Nears Launch

Touting a purported budget of $500 million and a ten-year plan chock full of content, Destiny touched down in September of last year and the levels of expectation were astronomical. In the time since, Bungie's shared-world shooter has been moulded by player feedback as much as anything else, and the upcoming release of The Taken King expansion - the largest to date - is set to add a wealth of requested tweaks and changes. Before the DLC launches on September 15, though, the studio has detailed the year one VIP rewards that comprise the Founder's Fortune Pack.

To be eligible for the exclusive crate of loot, Guardians must reach light level 30 or, on the other hand, own both The Dark Below and House of Wolves, the two expansions for Destiny already available. To unlock said items in the Tower, those players who are entitled to the content pack will then need to buy The Taken King when it launches next month.

Bundling together a Brave Ghost Shell, Be Brave Emblem, Old Guard Shader, and the S-34 Ravensteel Sparrow, the Founder’s Fortune Pack really is for the shooter’s ardent fans, and in a post over on its official blog, Bungie shared a new trailer and a little more information regarding what we can expect in a few weeks’ time.

The Guardians from Destiny Year One are not just players. You are the founders of a new and vibrant community. To us, you’re VIPs. When the new kids stroll into the Tower, they’ll know who you are. You’ll be the shadowy figures clad in the stripes of a Tiger.

The Taken King will make its bow on September 15 for all Destiny players, though only those who match the aforementioned requirements will be able to pick up the Founder’s Fortune Pack.
