Undoubtedly, this collection parallels the immense world of Grand Theft Auto V. With stunt jumps, collectibles, and even hobbies and past times, it seems as though Rockstar have retained some of the tropes of the series while also implementing some quirky new content; spaceship parts, anyone? With that said, the illustrious studio have supported the online segment of the game with a considerable portion of the above list – 17 achievements, no less – which conveys the dynamic nature of GTA Online, according to Leslie Benzies.

Speaking to CVG, here’s what Rockstar North’s president had to say:

“[it’s] a different entity, a separate thing, and it’ll grow on its own. It’ll be GTA Online; it’s not part of GTA V. Obviously it’s set in the GTA V engine, but it’s going to grow and evolve into its own thing.”

Benzies also reaffirmed that the multiplayer component will be available from October 1st; itself accessed by the in-game player wheel witnessed in the trailer. With 16 player support and a content creator to boot, GTA Online is undeniably an online feature with enough depth to parallel, if not surpass, the single-player game itself. From land, sea and air, Los Santos will become an online playground.

“We’re not really pushing the underwater side right now, but once we get the first batch of content out — which is going to be a lot; hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of missions — then we’ll start looking at some other things.”

Grand Theft Auto V will hit stores for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17th. Though a PC and next-gen version of the game hasn’t been ruled out, each of these versions remain unconfirmed at this time.
