Sony has announced that Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning will be added to PlayStation Plus members’ free Instant Game Collection when the PS Store updates tomorrow, October 1, 2013.

From the minds of bestselling author R.A. Salvatore and the legendary comic book artist Todd McFarlane, Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning holds the sad distinction of being the first and last project to be released from the now defunct 38 Studios. Despite the game’s less than successful sales record, Kingdoms of Amalur is widely considered to be a solid RPG, making it one of the highlights in October’s PlayStation Plus lineup.

Aside from the IGC addition, Sony is also discounting Flashback HD (PS Plus Price: $7.99, Regular Price: $9.99), and the following titles for PlayStation Plus members:

Game Title PS Plus Price Regular Price
Wheel Of Fortune Ultimate Edition $17.19 $21.49
Jeopardy! Ultimate Edition $17.19 $21.49
Wheel Of Fortune & Jeopardy! Complete Pack $19.59 $24.49
MX vs. ATV: Alive $8.99 $11.99
MX vs. ATV: Alive Ultimate Edition $19.99 $24.99
Darksiders II $17.99 $23.99
Darksiders II Ultimate Edition $26.99 $35.99
Darksiders + Darksiders 2 Ultimate Edition $31.49 $41.99
Red Faction Armageddon Ultimate Edition $11.24 $14.99

Finally, Sony notes that the PS3 ICG version of Machinarium, and the discounts above, will not be available after October 8th. So, PlayStation Plus subscribers are advised not to wait too long before adding any titles they want to their download lists.
