Game of Thrones actor Kit Harington will portray the chief villain in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Activision has confirmed.

From the Night’s Watch to a power-mongering conglomerate known as the Settlement Defense Front, word of Harington lending his likeness to the über-popular shooter franchise first surfaced just yesterday, when a picture of the actor posing beside facial capture equipment was spotted online.

Now, the casting is a done deal, and though Infinity Ward didn’t disclose the identity of Harington’s big bad, Narrative Director Taylor Kurosaki welcomed the actor’s addition to the franchise with open arms:

“Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro,” said Taylor Kurosaki, narrative director, Infinity Ward. “Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces, and Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front. We can’t wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character.”

Following in the footsteps of Kevin Spacey – who donned the motion capture gear for Advanced Warfare two years ago – Activision and Infinity Ward commemorated the announcement by rolling out a behind-the-scenes video of Kit Harington in action. Feast your eyes on it below.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is set to deploy across PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 4. Tell us, what do you make of Harington’s casting? Sound off below and let us know!
