It may never generate as much excitement as a character reveal, but at this point, anything relating to Street Fighter V is something to get hyped about. There’s no new character reveal this time around (although an announcement has been teased for the Brazil Game Show in October), but we do get to see the new Brazil stage in all of its glory in the trailer above.

Yoshinori Ono, the producer for the Street Fighter series, made the announcement as part of the Warner Brothers Games Summit, stating the following:

Unfortunately I couldn’t be there in person, but to make up for it I’m happy to announce the inclusion of a Brazil stage, which you’ll all get to see today! But wait… if we have a Brazilian stage in the game that means… Everyone might have already guessed it, but please look forward to Brazil Game Show. We’ll be announcing a new character there!

The trailer comes to a close by cutting back to Ono suddenly in a Blanka-themed suit – possibly suggesting that it’s him that will be revealed to tie in with the Brazil stage in October. It seems like a sure thing, but there are other characters that hail from Brazil. Both Sean and Oro have ties to the country, too, so we’ll just have to wait and see who it is in October.
