Another One Of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes Confirmed For Avengers 4

Yet another one of Earth's Mightiest Heroes has now been confirmed for Avengers 4, leading us to believe that no one will actually die in Infinity War.

2018 marks a decade since Robert Downey Jr. strapped himself into an experimental metal suit and blasted himself halfway across a desert. With every subsequent cinematic appearance that Iron Man armor got sleeker and more impressive, as did the MCU films it featured in. But all good things must come to an end, and it’s looking as if Avengers 4 might see the final appearances from some of the all-time greatest movie superheroes.

After all, Thanos and his so-called Black Order are a force to be reckoned with, so we can only assume that there will be a few casualties in Avengers: Infinity War that will have a knock-on effect on the roster of characters available for Avengers 4. No one lives forever – not even heroes – and by the time the credits roll on the third Avengers movie, we’re sure that we’ll have had to say goodbye to a few individuals. Anthony Mackie’s Falcon, however, won’t be one of them.

Taking to Twitter earlier this week, the actor posted the photo you’ll see in the gallery down below, which came with the following caption: Sometimes you have to sit back and marvel at where you are… #Marvelcigardays#Infinitywars. Though there’s nothing terribly revealing here, it does tell us that he’s in the Infinity War sequel, which means he’ll be living to at least the very end of Phase 3.

If you’ve been keeping up with what’s going on over on Twitter/Instagram, you’ll surely know that almost every major actor from the MCU has already confirmed that they’ll be back for Avengers 4. Which kind of has us wondering if Marvel’s promise of real consequences and hard hitting deaths in Infinity War is really true.

I mean, we already know that Falcon, Iron Man, Cap, Thor, the Guardians, Ant-Man, Wasp, Vision, Black Widow, Hulk, Hawkeye and a few more will all return, so we’re left wondering who exactly the studio can kill off and not have it feel like an inconsequential death. Don’t get us wrong, we’re sure that one or two people will die in Infinity War, but we just wouldn’t count on them being main characters.

Dubbed an “insane juggernaut of a film,” Avengers 4 has been slated for release on May 3rd, 2019, by which point Marvel’s Phase 3 will be nearing an end. Exactly what lies ahead for the MCU remains to be seen, but it’ll seemingly elect Tom Holland’s Spider-Man as the new focal point – not unlike how Iron Man anchored the Marvel Cinematic Universe in its formative years.
