Avengers 4 Casting Call Reveals A Big Scarlet Witch And Vision Spoiler

Filming on Joe and Anthony Russo's Avengers 4 has been taking place in Atlanta for a while now, which has fast become a hub for all things Marvel Studios, given that the city also recently hosted Ant-Man and the Wasp. Not only that, but Captain Marvel is expected to swoop into production early next year there as well, when it's believed that a number of Earth's Mightiest Heroes will cross over into Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck's nascent spinoff.

The jury’s still out on that one, mind you, but we’re now learning that Avengers 4 may feature some exciting developments for Vision (Paul Bettany) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), who are expected to have fairly large roles in the blockbuster. In fact, we’ve already had set pics showing the two getting very close indeed, with a few of the shots suggesting that Vision will have his Infinity Stone removed, causing him to assume a more human form. After all, the source of his powers is that Mind Stone lodged in his forehead, which also happens to be the very thing that the Mad Titan needs to complete his Infinity Gauntlet.

Now, a romance between these two has been brewing since Age of Ultron, so there’s no big shock there. What’s surprising, however, is that if a new casting call is to be believed, the couple may be starting a family. That’s because Marvel is currently looking for an identical pair of twin boys that are roughly two years old.

Unfortunately, there’s no further details on what role these children may play, but fans of the comics will probably be able to put two and two together here. For those who can’t, though, it’s very likely that the studio is looking to cast Wiccan and Speed, Vision and Scarlet Witch’s twin sons who went on to join the Young Avengers team and also have powers of their own.

Admittedly, their history is a bit complex, but it’d certainly be interesting if this is the route Marvel is taking. Perhaps they’re laying the seeds for the aforementioned Young Avengers, since a lot of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are on their way out of the MCU? Chalk that up as speculation for now, but this casting call has led to a lot of discussion amongst fans and it’s clear that Vision and Scarlet Witch are going to be a big part of Avengers 4, as we’ve heard many times now.
