Last seen as Dr. Helen Cho in Avengers: Age Of Ultron, it looks like South Korean actress Claudia Kim has now landed a role in the big-screen adaptation of Stephen King’s The Dark Tower.
According to The Tracking Board, Kim will be playing a character named Arra Champignon who (as far as I’m aware), never actually appeared in any of the source novels but was a relatively minor player in two of the Marvel tie-in comics: “Treachery” and “The Sorcerer.”
In fact, Arra is probably best known for meeting a very disturbing and grisly end along with her husband, Charles. I won’t go into too much detail, though – you’ll have to Google it. At any rate, here’s how her movie counterpart is described:
“known to be ‘kind’ and who ‘wishes everyone well.’ She possesses psychic abilities and seems to come from another world – perhaps another time all together.”
Kim will star alongside Idris Elba as Roland Deschain, Matthew McConaughey as The Man In Black, Tom Taylor as Jake Chambers and the recently announced Katheryn Winnick in an unspecified role.
The Dark Tower is set to hit theaters on February 17th, 2017.
