Avengers: Infinity War Featurette Spotlights Marvel’s Greatest Villain

The latest Avengers: Infinity War featurette has arrived to cast light on Thanos, the greatest villain of the Marvel Cinematic Universe... so far.

You’ve heard of the Mad Titan, haven’t you? The one being (?) capable of wielding the Infinity Gauntlet? Of course you have… he’s the big purple guy at the forefront of Avengers: Infinity War.

And that’s just it; unlike most other superhero movies, Joe and Anthony Russo’s Marvel mash-up places Thanos at the heart of its story, and allows the narrative to unfold around his quest to round up all six Infinity Stones – namely Space, Time, Mind, Reality, Power and Soul.

Were it not for Josh Brolin’s nuanced performance and the cutting-edge facial animations on display at Industrial Light and Magic, that master plan would’ve come apart at the seams, so it’s a credit to everyone involved in the creation of Avengers: Infinity War that the MCU crossover managed to defy the odds and deliver an overly satisfying experience. Along with a villain to remember.

What you’ll see up above is merely the latest featurette to come tumbling off the Marvel production line. This past week alone, we’ve been treated to in-depth videos dedicated to the creation of Thanos, not to mention Infinity War‘s incredibly bleak finale, in which Earth’s Mightiest Heroes slowly come to the realization that they were unable to stop the Mad Titan in his path – even with the combined forces of Black Panther, Spider-Man, Doctor Strange and all of the many Avengers who lay down their lives when Earth needed them most.

And while Thanos’ master plan was effective in its widespread destruction, we fully expect those heroes to return in some shape or form when Avengers 4 steamrolls into theaters next year. May 3rd is the date for your diaries, folks.
