Glorious Infinity War Poster Unites An Entire Universe…Sans Hawkeye

Only Hawkeye is missing from this newly-released poster for Avengers: Infinity War, which brings together the entire Marvel universe in time for April 27th.

A movie of Infinity War‘s size and unprecedented scope deserves an epic, all-encompassing marketing blitz. And that’s exactly what Marvel Studios has served up thus far.

From electrifying TV spots to super-sized banners, candid behind-the-scenes pics to the MCU’s first canonical novel (spoilers: it’s called Thanos: Titan Consumed and chronicles the early years of Marvel’s Mad Titan long before he became fixated on those precious Infinity Stones), the Internet has been consumed with Marvel content for the past few months.

Yes, suffice it to say, the studio’s promotional campaign has been nothing short of immense, and we now have yet another poster to add to the growing collection (seen in the gallery below, along with a few other recent ones). It’s much more cosmic in nature than previous one-sheets, and features Earth’s Mightiest Heroes and their newfound allies (read: Black Panther and the Guardians of the Galaxy) all gravitating around that iconic ‘A’.

And in the words of Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury, there was an idea, to bring together a group of remarkable people. See if they could become something more…

That ‘something more’ just so happens to be Earth’s last line of defense against total annihilation – well, we say total annihilation, when really we mean a mass extinction event, given Thanos only plans to wipe out half of humanity. How very kind of him.

On a more serious note, it’ll be fascinating to watch Infinity War unfold, particularly after those rumors claimed a major MCU character would kick the bucket in the opening 30 minutes. Perhaps Avengers 3 will start as it means to go on? It’s enough to stir a mixture of excitement and genuine trepidation among the Marvel community.

Avengers: Infinity War and its mammoth cast officially descend on theaters April 27th.
