Arguably the biggest film of 2016, not much can be said about Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice that hasn't been said already. It's the film that fans have been waiting for, and it's the film that will pave the way for Justice League. If you're not already drooling over this one, you may need to get your head checked.

Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice Trailer Will Be Shown In 100 IMAX Theatres

Last night the web practically collapsed after the latest Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice rumor began to circulate. Zack Snyder, the film's director, is expected to post the first five seconds of the trailer to his Twitter tomorrow morning at 9am PST. After which a sign-up link will allow fans to register for the chance to see the full two-minute six-second trailer at a participating movie theater. The supposed date for that expanded preview was listed as Monday, April 20.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Last night the web practically collapsed after the latest Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice rumor began to circulate. Zack Snyder, the film’s director, is expected to post the first five seconds of the trailer to his Twitter tomorrow morning at 9am PST. After which a sign-up link will allow fans to register for the chance to see the full two-minute six-second trailer at a participating movie theater. The supposed date for that expanded preview was listed as Monday, April 20.

As of last night, the tantalizing tidbit was still firmly in the rumor pile, but as today has progressed there’s mounting evidence to suggest the BvS trailer is en route. And now we know where and in which format you will be able to see it.

Collider‘s sources indicate the preview will roll out into around 100 theaters across the U.S. Such a small number of locations means that once Snyder posts that snippet and the sign-up sheet goes live, fans will have to be fast to secure tickets. But if you know there’s no IMAX near you,  then it looks like you’re out of luck on this one.

The site also tracked down a movie theater website in Grand Rapids, MI with a pre-sale event page for the screening. The title of which describes it as a “Batman vs Superman IMAX Trailer Event” confirming that – for this particular theater anyway – the trailer will be screened in the IMAX format. It is listed with a runtime of 15 minutes, but whether or not this is as the site suggests (a placeholder) or a chunk of time in which those select few can watch the trailer approx. 7 times is not yet clear.

As always, we’ll keep you posted with any new updates on Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, including that all-important trailer, as soon as they land.
