Captain America: Civil War Cast Want The X-Men In The MCU

While X-Men: Apocalypse wasn't exactly a terrible film, it has been a bit of a disappointment for both the studio and fans alike. Mediocre at best, with a box office haul coming in far under what Fox predicted, the franchise is now in a bit of trouble, as the producers struggle with where to take it next.

Of course, the most obvious answer would be for the mutants to head on over to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which is really where they belong. Sony finally gave Spidey back to Marvel and look how that turned out. Fox would be smart to do the same, but obviously it’s highly unlikely that that would ever happen. Still, that hasn’t stopped several members from the cast of Captain America: Civil War from speaking out about their desire to have the X-Men in the MCU.

During Wizard World Philadelphia this weekend, Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan and Anthony Mackie revealed that it’s time for the mutants to come back to where they belong, and that in particular, they’d love to work with actors like Halle Berry, Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender, who play Storm, Mystique and Magneto in the X-Men movies, respectively.

You can hear what the Civil War cast members had to say in the video above, but it seems that they’d be up for some sort of crossover with the X-Men. And while obviously none of them have enough sway over at Marvel to make something like this happen, we’ll remain hopeful that maybe, just maybe, one day Fox will hand the mutants back over in a deal similar to the one Sony made.
