Here Are All The Character Who Were Missing In The Avengers: Infinity War Trailer

After what feels like eons of waiting, the first trailer for Avengers: Infinity War is finally here - and it's just as epic and thrilling as we had hoped for! Packed full of Avengers, action, an ominous tone and lots of intriguing teases for what the movie holds, it doesn't drop too much all at once, as it saves quite a lot for future trailers and the actual film itself. For instance, the union of all of the heroes and a bigger role for the Guardians of the Galaxy.

That’s right. While we did get to see a lot of our favorites, there were a good chunk of characters missing from the preview, both heroes and villains. Even some of the major players were left out and you have to wonder why. Maybe there are surprises in store for certain individuals that Marvel doesn’t want to spoil yet? Or perhaps the studio just didn’t have time to throw everyone in?

Whatever the case, here are the characters that the internet has been collectively wondering about ever since the trailer dropped (deep breath, everyone): Ant-Man, The Wasp, Nick Fury, Maria Hill, Valkyrie, Shuri, Nebula, Ebony Maw, Black Dwarf, Nakia, Pepper Potts, The Collector, The Nova Corps and Hawkeye.

So, why weren’t these heroes, villains and supporting players featured? Well, like we mentioned above, it probably just came down to timing, though for a few of them, there may be more specific reasons. For instance, with The Wasp, it’s likely that Marvel wants to give her a proper debut in Peyton Reed’s upcoming sequel. When it comes to Nebula and The Nova Corps, meanwhile, given that we barely got to see much of the Guardians of the Galaxy in the trailer, it makes sense that their surrounding characters weren’t too involved, either.

With any luck, we’ll get to lay eyes on some more of the Infinity War cast when the next trailer drops. When that’ll be is currently unknown, of course, but if you’re still reeling from this week’s reveal, we’ll kindly point you in the direction of Collider’s screengrabs, which are designed to offer a play-by-play breakdown of Infinity War‘s inaugural teaser and all of its many talking points.

From a bearded Cap (Nomad?) to Blonde Widow and everything in between, Marvel’s latest (and greatest?) trailer will be analyzed for weeks to come, and we’ll be keeping a close eye on the film’s progression right here on WGTC.

On May 4th, 2018, Marvel and the Russo Brothers will unleash Avengers: Infinity War, and the MCU will never be the same again. Word is the Powers That Be have mapped out preliminary plans for another 20 – that’s right, 20 – movies beyond 2018, so there’s still hope for that all-female spinoff yet.
