Ryan Reynolds Trolls Hugh Jackman As He Promotes Logan

With Hugh Jackman hanging up his claws for good following the release of Logan, we now know for sure that Wolverine will never cross paths with Deadpool. With Hugh Jackman hanging up his claws for good following the release of Logan, we now know for sure that Wolverine will never cross paths with the Merc with a Mouth. The two characters weren’t even brought together in the Deadpool 2 short which was shown before the movie, but that hasn’t stopped Ryan Reynolds from trying to push the Australian actor’s buttons on social media.

As you can see in the exchange below, Jackman has been having a lot of fun showing off his tour around the wold to promote the release of Logan, and Reynolds couldn’t resist the opportunity to poke fun at what the Wolverine actor has been getting up to. It’s just a shame that the chemistry between the two X-Men universe stars will never be seen on the big screen. While they crossed paths briefly in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Wolvie and Deadpool haven’t really had a proper team-up and now never will, at least based on recent comments from Jackman.

On the plus side, at least Logan is a fitting swan song for the clawed mutant, so it’s probably better that the actor goes out on a strong note rather than sticking around to star in a team-up which may or may not be necessary, depending on who you ask. Regardless, while we may not get to see Wolverine and Deadpool in a movie together following the events of Logan, at least they’re together on Twitter.

Well, sort of.
