Fox has given no indication yet as to who they’re looking at in terms of a replacement, but a petition has now started on Change.org that has fans hoping to see Quentin Tarantino step into the director’s chair for the highly anticipated sequel:

“If there was ever a chance to see Tarantino do a project almost guaranteed to make a billion dollars, this is it. We got a great taste of what this could be like in Kill Bill, but imagine having a guy like Tarantino write dialogue for The Merc with the Mouth! It would be so glorious. Join me!”

Of course, this is hardly a good indicator of who will end up replacing Miller; a small petition on Change.org won’t have any impact on who Fox ultimately goes with, but it does provide some nice food for thought. There’s no denying that Tarantino would be a great fit for the film’s ultra violent action and crude humor, but we just can’t see him helming a comic book movie sequel, nor can we see the studio bringing a director like QT on board to replace Miller. Then again, who knows? Stranger things have certainly happened.

While we wait for 20th Century Fox to announce who they’ve found to sit behind the camera on Deadpool 2, feel free to comment down below letting us know whether or not you think Quentin Tarantino would be a good choice to direct the film and who you think the studio might end up going with.
