Final Trailer For The Expendables 3 Is A Bullet-Spraying Good Time

The word 'stacked' doesn't exactly do justice to the cast that Lionsgate has lined up for The Expendables 3, next month's action extravaganza. I'll get to the specific actors in a minute, but the list reads like a who's who of action all-stars. Sylvester Stallone, of course, returns as the leader of the ragtag group, which this time unites to save their young protégés from an evil archnemesis (Mel Gibson). As you can imagine, all types of testosterone-fueled madness ensues.

The word ‘stacked’ doesn’t exactly do justice to the cast that Lionsgate has lined up for The Expendables 3, next month’s action extravaganza. I’ll get to the specific actors in a minute, but the list reads like a who’s who of action all-stars. Sylvester Stallone, of course, returns as the leader of the ragtag group, which this time unites to save their young protégés from an evil archnemesis (Mel Gibson). As you can imagine, all types of testosterone-fueled madness ensues.

Though the first two films were nothing too special in terms of story, they also had killer casts, which propelled both to box office success. It’s currently unclear how The Expendables 3 will fare, though – a high-quality version of the movie was recently leaked to the web in one of the highest-profile incidents of piracy since the same problem tainted the release of X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2009. If any of you readers have downloaded copies, I’d ask that you refrain from watching it and instead head out to theaters to see The Expendables 3. Piracy hurts the movie biz in a big way, and it’s just selfish and unfair to undercut the filmmakers’ efforts by not plunking down the cash for a ticket.

Anyway, The Expendables 3 will be much better watched in theaters than on a computer. Director Patrick Hughes doesn’t appear to have skimped on the explosive action and, besides, wouldn’t you want to watch this lineup of heavy hitters on the biggest screen available? In addition to Stallone and Gibson, The Expendables 3 stars Harrison Ford, Wesley Snipes, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kelsey Grammer, Antonio Banderas, Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, Terry Crews, Kellan Lutz, Ronda Rousey, Victor Ortiz. and Glen Powell. I’ll pause for a sec to let the sheer number of actors there sink in.

Check out The Expendables 3 in theaters when it opens on August 15th.

In THE EXPENDABLES 3, Barney (Stallone), Christmas (Statham) and the rest of the team come face-to-face with Conrad Stonebanks (Gibson), who years ago co-founded The Expendables with Barney. Stonebanks subsequently became a ruthless arms trader and someone who Barney was forced to kill… or so he thought. Stonebanks, who eluded death once before, now is making it his mission to end The Expendables — but Barney has other plans. Barney decides that he has to fight old blood with new blood, and brings in a new era of Expendables team members, recruiting individuals who are younger, faster and more tech-savvy. The latest mission becomes a clash of classic old-school style versus high-tech expertise in the Expendables’ most personal battle yet.
