Though there’s no official word from Marvel or director James Gunn yet, it sounds like comedian Steve Agee will have a role of some sort in the soon-to-begin-shooting Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2.
The news was spilled by fellow funny man Doug Benson during his Doug Loves Movies podcast. While interviewing mutual friend Scoot Mcnairy, Benson let slip that they were actually supposed to have Agee on the show, but he couldn’t make it because he was off working on the Marvel sequel.
[Steve] just found out because he’s in the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, he has to shoot that bulls–t instead of being here with us today!
Agee (best know for his appearances on The Sarah Silverman Program) is also a pal of Gunn’s and will appear in the director’s upcoming horror thriller The Belko Experiment – so there’s a pretty good chance that this news holds some truth. Of course, it’s not likely that he’ll have a major role, but you never know.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is set for release on May 5th, 2017
