A new international poster for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story has surfaced today, and it may just be the best one yet. As you can see, it features the Imperial forces flanked by AT-ATs advancing as a Rebel’s helmet washes ashore and casts the familiar shadow of the Rebellion’s logo.
It’s a very cool piece of imagery, and one which once again highlights the fact that Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will put the focus on the war between the Empire and Rebellion. Well, hopefully. There have after all been some worrying reports that reshoots took place to bring it more in line with The Force Awakens by ditching the darker and violent elements associated with a war movie.
Time will tell on that front, but this is still a much better poster than some of the previous efforts made by Disney and Lucasfilm. It’s also worth noting that the movie has been given a 12+ rating in Russia, a surefire sign that it will be PG-13 when the MPAA rate it for US audiences. That was to be expected though, as an R-Rated Star Wars movie is unlikely to ever happen.
The cast of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story includes Felicity Jones, Mads Mikkelsen, Alan Tudyk, Donnie Yen, Forest Whitaker, Diego Luna, Riz Ahmed and a number of others, and, as you should already know, it’s currently set to be released on December 16th, later this year.
