Now that filming on James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is well under way in Atlanta, the cast of the sequel are all reporting for duty. Among them is obviously Karen Gillan (Doctor Who), who took to Twitter today to confirm that she’s back in blue to play the villainous Nebula.
The big question of course is whether or not she’s shaved her head for the role this time. When the actress revealed to fans at Comic-Con a few years back that she had cut off her trademark red locks to play the character, pretty much everyone was shocked, but chances are Marvel may have found a way around that this time.
Set to the all-new sonic backdrop of Awesome Mixtape #2, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 continues the team’s adventures as they unravel the mystery of Peter Quill’s true parentage.
There have been conflicting rumours thus far about Nebula’s role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, so she’s definitely something of a dark horse right now. Hopefully we’ll find out more though as we get closer to the release of the movie on May 5th, 2017.
