Despite the long and somewhat troublesome shoot of Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained, it seems that at least two actors got along just fine during it all. Jamie Foxx and Leonardo DiCaprio are looking to work together again after starring in Tarantino’s latest and the project they have their eye on is Mean Business on North Granson Street.

Warner Bros. have picked up the rights to Craig Zahler’s upcoming novel and Foxx and DiCaprio are circling the starring roles. The story follows “a detective (DiCaprio) who believes that his wife is actually a hooker, and disappeared on him with the money she made in her line of work. After an incident in the squad room gets him assigned to the crime ridden Victory, Missouri, he teams with a hot-headed detective (Foxx) with his own troubles after being demoted for brutalizing a suspect, and the pair try to find out who’s leaving cops dead, execution style.”

After seeing the chemistry that DiCaprio and Foxx produced in Django Unchained, I’m all for having them team up together again for Mean Business on North Granson Street. It sounds like a gritty and exciting crime flick, one that both actors would do very well in. It will also be nice to see the two working together on the same side this time, rather than going head to head as adversaries like they did in Django.

DiCaprio has stated that he wants to take a bit of a break from acting, so who knows when this will get made, or if it will even all work out. If everything lines up though, and it all comes together, we’ll have something very special to look forward to.

How does Mean Business on North Granson Street sound to you? Other than that mouthful of a title, I think it’s sounding pretty appealing right about now. Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
