Quentin Tarantino Says No To Kill Bill Vol. 3 And James Bond

%name Quentin Tarantino Says No To Kill Bill Vol. 3 And James Bond

Will he or won’t he? That seems to be the question in regards as to whether director Quentin Tarantino plans on making Kill Bill Vol. 3. The director said in the past that he wants to do the film but as of yet, no progress has been made. In fact, many people doubt that the film will ever see the light of day and while speaking at the Toronto premiere for his new film Django Unchained, Tarantino has confirmed that very doubt.

I got a chance to catch up with the director briefly as he walked the red carpet at the premiere and when asked if we would ever see Kill Bill Vol. 3, he replied with the following:

“I don’t know if there’s ever going to be a Kill Bill. Vol 3. We’ll see, probably not though.”

Now, the director has been back and forth on the film for a while but as of now, it seems that Quentin Tarantino will not be making Kill Bill Vol. 3. And speaking of films that Tarantino won’t make, I also slid in a question about James Bond, asking if he would ever take a stab at the franchise.

For those who don’t know, he wanted to direct Casino Royale years ago but of course, that job went to someone else. When I asked the director if he would consider helming a future Bond film, he told me that “NoCasino Royale was the one I wanted to direct, they missed their opportunity.”

So there you have it, two films that Quentin Tarantino won’t direct. Bond isn’t too surprising, but I was kind of shocked to hear that he isn’t going to make Kill Bill Vol. 3. As a fan of the first two, it’s also pretty disappointing. I was looking forward to a third instalment and was really hoping that he was still planning on making it.

For now, we’ll have to wait and see how things turn out. At the current moment it seems as if he isn’t interested but who knows, that may change in the near future. I hope it does.

What do you think? Are you disappointed to hear that Quentin Tarantino isn’t interested in making Kill Bill Vol. 3 anymore?

I’m more disappointed that QT says he’s gonna retire than this. I look forward to him creating completely new films than a threequel. That being said, a QT take on a franchise film could be cool.

kill bill 3 sounded good to me. the recipe is there for an awesome trilogy. on the other hand, it’s also good as it is. but if i had to pick, i’d say, go for it! at any rate, more excited to see his new one. seems like it’s going to be really entertaining.

I’m not disappointed at all that they’re not making Kill Bill Vol. 3. There’s no reason to. There is such a thing as overkill and all good things SHOULD come to an end.

how stupid is the reporter you put on this story seriously, I can’t believe you are that dumb, dumb enough to ask Quentin if he’s going to do a sequel to one of his movies? You know nothing, if I was there I would have slapped you in the face, a sequel, wow your a dumbass.

But he did a part 2.

      As in, more than 1.

      • Bill

That wasn’t exactly a sequel. More like a movie too big to come out at once, so it was split into two parts.

He has said in the past he was open to making KB3 with Uma once the requisite time for both Bebe and Vernita’s daughter to become adults happened. But, ya know, keep being a dick.

fair enough it was a dick thing to say, doesn’t make it any less true, even if Quentin told me himself he was considering a sequel, I wouldn’t believe it till I saw it in writing. Anyway I suspect his next film will be science fiction.

For years now, it’s been a publicly known possibility that Tarantino has been considering making a Kill Bill 3. For years this has tormented me, as Kill Bill is my favorite movie, and I could only imagine a 3rd volume an nothing less than a disaster. I am very pleased to hear that it’s probably not happening.

Clearly the journalist knew more about the topic than you.

kill bill is mostly disappointing stuff…what with such volume of work behind and kill bill only had nicely done fight sequences, nothing else….tarantino was just too self-obsessed with himself…i guess…no part-3 for me…

I’m disappointed. Kill Bill is my favorite QT movie, and I’d love to see how the story would evolve, especially since he’s been promising to work on a sequel for years now.
