Twitch is reporting that Joe Taslim, who became a favorite of action fans everywhere after his role as Jaka in The Raid: Redemption, will be joining Fast Six.

Currently shooting in the UK, Taslim, who is actually Indonesia’s former national judo champ, will play a villain named Jah, who of course, has some serious martial art talents.

Taslim will join an explosive cast that already includes Vin Diesel, Luke Evans, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Paul Walker, Jordanna Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez and Gina Carano.

Though I haven’t always been a fan of the Fast and Furious movies, I was mighty impressed with Fast Five. It gave the series the kick in the behind that it needed and I think I can speak for fans everywhere when I say that Fast Six can’t come soon enough.

The film has assembled an impressive cast and with director Justin Lin back behind the camera, I can’t see much going wrong with the next instalment in Universal’s very successful franchise.

Fast Six speeds into theatres on May 24th, 2013.
