THR has announced that Steven Soderbergh‘s Haywire star and MMA fighter Gina Carano has landed a part in Fast And Furious 6. The film will be set in Europe but other than that, plot details are being kept under wraps.
Carano will play a “Diplomatic Security Service agent,” which means it’s likely that her MMA experience will come in handy.
Personally, I loved Carano in Haywire and I think she is the perfect addition to the Fast And Furious team. Many doubted her when Soderbergh cast her in Haywire. Although the film itself wasn’t all that great, Carano more than proved herself as a leading lady and an action star.
Fast and Furious 6 will begin principal photography this Summer with a release date of May 24, 2013 already set.
