Picking up steam recently is Dimension Films' Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. In the past few months we have seen tons of casting news spill out from the much anticipated Robert Rodriguez film. Last week Joseph Gordon-Levitt signed on, Josh Brolin attached himself, and a few months ago, Dennis Haysbert replaced Michael Clarke Duncan. Before that, Jamie Chung and Jaime King joined the cast. Picking up steam recently is Dimension Films’ Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. In the past few months we have seen tons of casting news spill out from the much anticipated Robert Rodriguez film. Last week Joseph Gordon-Levitt signed on as did Josh Brolin, and a few months ago, Dennis Haysbert replaced Michael Clarke Duncan. Before that, Jamie Chung and Jaime King joined the cast. Now, we have three more names to add to the ever-growing list of stars that will populate this film: Ray Liotta, Juno Temple and Jeremy Piven.

You can couple those three names with the already impressive cast that includes Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba and Rosario Dawson. With production already underway at Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios, you can expect to hear more casting news in the near future. For now though, I’m pretty impressed with the list of names that the director has put together for his sequel.

Sin City boasted a very impressive cast and I think that Rodriguez may have outdone himself with Sin City: A Dame To Kill For. The biggest draw for me is probably JGL but the three new additions today have certainly piqued my excitement, especially Jeremy Piven.

Piven recently worked with Rodriguez on the last Spy Kids film and I’ve been a fan of his ever since he brought to life the single best character in television history, Entourage‘s Ari Gold. To see him attaching himself to a film like this has me very happy. No word yet on which role he’ll take on but whichever character he plays, I’m sure he’ll kill it.

Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is set for an October 4th, 2013 release. Are you excited for the film? Can it surpass the first one? What do you think of the new casting additions? Let us know in the comments below.
