In the latest batch of set photos for The Dark Knight Rises, Anne Hathaway is primarily featured but this time she appears without skintight leather or silly goggles. The photos show Selina Kyle (a.k.a Catwoman) in fisticuffs with an attacking assailant on the snowy streets of Gotham. One would guess by judging from the pictures, that Selina is preventing a mugging of the little boy standing beside her or that maybe she is getting attacked herself.
The mugger looks like a mangy bum hellbent on stealing a wallet or two, not expecting a fight from a woman who secretly moonlights as a jewel thief after midnight. This scene probably sets the stage for Hathaway’s grittier version of Kyle, as someone who has spent her fair share of time on the streets and has grown accustomed to the lowly inhabitants who reside in them.
No stunt double is needed on set here since it’s obvious that Hathaway is doing the fighting herself, and looking quite fierce at it too. This kitty definitely has claws, even if she isn’t wearing them.
