Shawn Levy To Produce A Feature Film Animation Of The Mr. Men Series

Shawn Levy is a popular guy at the moment, coming up we have his robot boxing movie Real Steel with Hugh Jackman, and more recently he was signed on by James Cameron to direct the 3D remake of Fantastic Voyage, which Cameron will produce. Now his production company has acquired the rights to produce a feature film animation of Roger Hargreaves’ Mr. Men book series.

It has an animated series of which the episodes are relatively short, as are the books, so goodness knows how they are going to come up with a feature film. There are no writers or directors assigned to the project yet and is only in the dealmaking phase but Levy will only be on as a producer for 20th Century Fox.
