Sin City: A Dame To Kill For Gets A Stylish New Trailer

"Sin City's where you go in with your eyes open," says gambler Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) at the beginning of the latest trailer for August's Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, "Or you don't come out at all." Our previous exposure to the stylized, hyper-violent universe of Sin City have definitely proven that to be the case - and I, for one, cannot wait to dive back in.

“Sin City’s where you go in with your eyes open,” says gambler Johnny (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) at the beginning of the latest trailer for August’s Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, “Or you don’t come out at all.” Our previous exposure to the stylized, hyper-violent universe of Sin City have definitely proven that to be the case – and I, for one, cannot wait to dive back in.

This new trailer gives us footage of returning characters Marv (Mickey Rourke), Nancy Callahan (Jessica Alba), Senator Roark (Powers Boothe), Manute (now played by Dennis Haysbert), Gail (Rosario Dawson) and Dwight (now played by Josh Brolin), in addition to new additions like Ava Lord (Eva Green). It’s a sexy, thrilling look at what’s sure to be one of the coolest and best movies of the summer.

“Never lose control, never get the monster out,” says Dwight at the end of the trailer as he stares down the barrel of his gun. But what fun would it be if he didn’t? And based on the amount of mayhem on display in this trailer for the film, there’s a pretty good chance that Dwight is going to lose his cool at some point (especially considering we know he ends up looking like Clive Owen).

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, directed by Robert Rodriguez and written by Frank Miller, Rodriguez and William Monahan, opens in theaters August 22nd.

Co-directors Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller reunite to bring Miller’s visually stunning “Sin City” graphic novels back to the screen in SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR. Weaving together two of Miller’s classic stories with new tales, the town’s most hard boiled citizens cross paths with some of its more reviled inhabitants. SIN CITY: A DAME TO KILL FOR is the follow up to Rodriguez and Miller’s 2005 groundbreaking film, FRANK MILLER’S SIN CITY.
