Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Second Trailer Will Debut Alongside Avengers: Age Of Ultron

With the summer blockbuster season barreling down upon us thick and fast, movie studios are beginning to chart plans on the most opportune time to release a brand new trailer. Yesterday brought word that Warner Bros. it prepping to debut the very first clip for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice alongside George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road. On the Marvel -- or, more appropriately, Disney -- side of the coin, early reports are suggesting that the studio will release the full-length second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens either during this month's Star Wars Celebration, or in tandem with Avengers: Age of Ultron.

With the summer blockbuster season barreling down upon us thick and fast, movie studios are beginning to chart plans on the most opportune time to release a brand new trailer. Yesterday brought word that Warner Bros. is prepping to debut the very first clip for Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice alongside George Miller’s Mad Max: Fury Road. On the Marvel – or, more appropriately, Disney – side of the coin, early reports are suggesting that the studio will release the full-length second trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens either during this month’s Star Wars Celebration, or in tandem with Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Whichever path Marvel decides to take, there’s no doubting that both will generate a tremendous amount of excitement. The fan favorite Star Wars convention kicks off on April 16 and runs until April 19, and the fact that a new canonical feature film will release before the year’s end will inject the event with an extra dose of zealous glee.

As for what the sophomore clip will contain, it seems all but certain that the studio will finally unveil the film’s old guard: Han Solo, Princess Leia and of course, Luke Skywalker himself. In fact, a detailed breakdown of said trailer appeared online only last month, and while it remains unconfirmed at the time of writing, there’s certainly many plausible facets lurking within its tantalizing set-up.

Excitement for J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi sequel is beginning to reach fever pitch, and it looks as though it won’t be long before Disney unveil a fresh look at the director’s maiden entry into the legendary series. Tell us, are you as excited as we are for Star Wars: The Force Awakens? Or are you hedging your bets until the debut of this next trailer? Give us your thoughts below.
