The Predator

The Predator’s Ensemble Cast Drum Up Excitement Ahead Of Imminent Trailer

Jake Busey, Trevante Rhodes and the official 20th Century Fox Twitter account have all released new teasers to stoke excitement for The Predator's first trailer.

It’s been a long time coming – too long, perhaps – but it seems 20th Century Fox and director Shane Black are about to unleash The Predator.

Amid reports that the first-look teaser will be attached to Deadpool 2 when it hits theaters next week – fitting, really, given they’re both R-rated properties being angled toward a similar demographic – we now have firm confirmation that the trailer will be released online tomorrow, and the likes of Jake Busey, Trevante Rhodes, Keegan-Michael Key and Sterling K. Brown have taken to social media in order to drum up excitement.

Up first is Busey, who has signed on to play the son of Gary Busey’s character from Predator 2 – talk about keeping things in the family. His Tweet alludes to The Predator’s thermal vision, while Trevante Rhodes favored a straight-up shot of his Special Forces commando looking a little disturbed by the events unfolding around him. All the images are included in the gallery below, but they pale in comparison to the official teaser from 20th Century Fox.

Via Twitter, the studio’s official Predator account pumped out a teaser in Yautja, the native language of those ugly motherfuckers. Spoilers: it reads “tomorrow.”

And to ensure you’re fully up to speed, here’s a reminder of the story that Shane Black and Fred Dekker have rustled up:

From the outer reaches of space to the small-town streets of suburbia, the hunt comes home in Shane Black’s explosive reinvention of the Predator series. Now, the universe’s most lethal hunters are stronger, smarter and deadlier than ever before, having genetically upgraded themselves with DNA from other species. When a young boy accidentally triggers their return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race.

The Predator finally – finally – reaches theaters on September 14th, when the likes of Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther) and former X-Men star Olivia Munn will be coming up against something not of this world…
