While you might assume that Chris Hemsworth is the obvious candidate to be struttin’ around in his birthday suit – after all, the rock-hard Mjolnir is traditionally a fertility symbol – it actually sounds as if whatever we’ll be seeing is furious, veiny and very, very green. Yup, apparently the upcoming film features the Hulk leaving the showers (presumably after some kind of gladiatorial butt-kicking), and proudly posing in front of a giant window and dropping his very large towel.

Given that Ragnarok is PG-13, I’d guess we’re in line for some Hulk butt. But here’s a challenge: I don’t think this really is the first nudity in the MCU. In fact, by my estimation, one character has been proudly and graphically sporting wood in almost every screen appearance. Can you guess who it is?

It’s Groot, of course. Aside from briefly donning a jumpsuit in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, he’s been naked right under our very noses for two whole films and nobody even noticed!

Oh well, though this might not be the first actual nudity in the MCU, it does at least hammer down the fact that maybe Thor: Ragnarok isn’t the most serious superhero film out there. And, given the generally doom-laden trailers for Justice League and the incoming apocalypse of Thanos in the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War, I think we’re due for a couple of giggles before the storm, don’t you?

We’ll get a good look at those emerald cheeks in just over a week from now, when Thor: Ragnarok opens on November 3rd. More on any nudity (green, wooden or otherwise) in the MCU as soon as we have it.
