Ralph Fiennes is making his directorial debut with an adaptation of Williams Shakespeare’s 17th century play, Coriolanus, set in present day time.  The UK version of a teaser poster and trailer were released in August, but now fans have a new poster to add to their excitement.

The poster features a bloody Fiennes who plays the title character, Coriolanus, a banished hero from Rome who alignes himself with a sworn enemy in order to have his revenge.

If the poster is any indication, it looks like there will be some epic scenes taking place in this film and it will likely excite most audiences.

Gerard Butler and Vanessa Redgrave co-star in this adaption alongside Fiennes.

Coriolanus is set to be released in the U.S. on December 2, 2011 and in the U.K. on January 2012.
