First Look At War Machine’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron Armor

For most of Marvel's marketing mayhem surrounding superhero sequel Avengers: Age Of Ultron, the focus has been fixed on the core cast. Earth's Mightiest Heroes command the bigger paychecks, so it's no surprise that the studio fully plans on making the most of their contractual obligations. That leads to lesser-known supporting characters taking a back seat in promotional material. However, as the Hot Toys series of Ultron-related figures is announced, more details on those sidekicks are surfacing.

That leads to lesser-known supporting characters taking a back seat in promotional material. However, as the Hot Toys series of Ultron-related figures is announced, more details on those sidekicks are surfacing.

Today, the toy manufacturer has issued a new press release for its War Machine Mark II figure. The toy is said to be based on Don Cheadle’s likeness and incorporates a new, shiny silver look for Rhodes. As pointed out by the folks at IGN, it bears a striking resemblance to early prototypes of Rhodey’s armor in Iron Man 3, which were discarded at the time in favor of a more colorful getup.
