Another day and another rumor regarding the highly anticipated Batman vs. Superman, which is coming to us in 2015 from director Zack Snyder. This time, the culprit is The Sun Newspaper, who are reporting that Warner Bros. is offering Christian Bale $60 million to reprise his role as the Caped Crusader.

Now, Bale has said many time in the past that he’s done with Batman and won’t even consider getting involved unless Christopher Nolan is directing. That being said, $60 million is a lot of money and if this report turns out to be true, I think that Bale may have to take the bait.

It’s important to remember that The Sun is a tabloid paper and obviously, isn’t the most reliable source, so this is far from confirmed. But, it would make a lot of sense. Casting rumors for the role have literally been all over the place and it seems like the studio has no idea which direction to go in. Settling on Bale would make things a lot easier for them as he’s proven to be a huge success in the role and then they could tie the film into Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

Plus, the fans would love it. Most people are very against seeing anyone else don the cape and cowl and if Bale is chosen, at the very least, Warner Bros. can rest easy knowing they’ve pleased the fanboys.

Again, this is just a rumor but if true, it’s certainly interesting. $60 million is an incredibly high number, very few actors get offered that type of money to make a movie and it will be extremely tough for Bale to say no to that.

What do you guys think? Should Bale stand true to his word, or should he reprise his role as the Caped Crusader in Batman vs. Superman?
