Watch Jake Gyllenhaal And Hugh Jackman Shouting In Prisoners Trailer

Following on from the success of cop thriller End Of Watch, Jake Gyllenhaal straps on another uniform for Denis Villeneuve's Prisoners. Villeneuve, who got Hollywood's attention with this Ocsar-nominated Incendies in 2010, obviously made quite an impression on Gyllenhaal. The actor has shot two films back-to-back with the French-Canadian director, An Enemy, and Prisoners. The latter of which finally has a trailer!

Following on from the success of cop thriller End Of Watch, Jake Gyllenhaal slips into another uniform for Denis Villeneuve’s Prisoners. Villeneuve, who attracted Hollywood’s attention with this Ocsar-nominated Incendies in 2010, obviously made quite an impression on Gyllenhaal. The actor has shot two films back-to-back with the French-Canadian director: An Enemy and Prisoners. The latter of which finally has a trailer!

Torn apart by the abduction of two young girls, two families opt to take the law into their own hands as the police aren’t up to snuff for the job. The revenge flick boasts an impressive cast. Gyllenhaal, Hugh Jackman, Maria Bello, Terrence Howard, Viola Davis, Melissa Leo and Paul Dano all make appearances in this trailer, which, is a tad spoiler-ridden. We recommend watching the first minute to acquaint yourself with it, then quickly click elsewhere. Possibly write Hugh Jackman a love letter for being so damn manly.

For those with an observant eye, pay attention to the beauteous cinematography of Oscar-nominated lensman Roger Deakins.

Keller Dover is facing every parent’s worst nightmare. His 6-year-old daughter and her young friend are missing, and as minutes turn to hours, panic sets in. The only lead is a dilapidated RV that had been parked on their street. Heading the investigation, Detective Loki arrests its driver, but a lack of evidence forces the only suspect’s release. Knowing his child’s life is at stake, the frantic Dover decides he has no choice but to take matters into his own hands. The desperate father will do whatever it takes to find the girls, but in doing so, may lose himself, begging the question: When do you cross the line between seeking justice and becoming a vigilante?

Prisoners opens in US theatres on September 20th and UK cinemas on October 4th.
