Norwegian tropical house superstar Kygo has unveiled music videos for the songs “I’m in Love” and “Raging” from his debut album, Cloud Nine, this week, and like those of Disclosure and Steve Angello‘s recent albums, they appear to tell an overarching story.

The music video for “I’m in Love” accompanies the song’s plucky progression and vocals of Vincent James Morrow with a montage of footage of a couple that alternates between romantic abstractions and portrayals of more realistic scenarios – as well as clips of Kygo himself performing. The video for “Raging,” meanwhile, depicts the same couples’ travels, using imagery that ranges from picturesque destinations to dangerous riots.

Cloud Nine had largely proven Kygo to be more than a one trick pony, and perhaps the cinematic nature of its music videos will prove it just as rich in visual concepts.

As of this writing, though, Kygo has yet to give any other clues suggesting that more official music videos will accompany those of “I’m in Love” and “Raging” in a greater series. He has recently hinted that he might have a Flume collaboration in the works, however, so fans of both producers can certainly look forward to that in the weeks to follow.
