It’s been seven long years since we’ve seen a new episode of Arrested Development but finally, the excruciating wait is almost over. Netflix will be bringing the beloved show back in the Spring and today they have announced that they plan to premiere all 15 new episodes (it was previously set to be 14) on May 26th. If you haven’t checked your calendar yet, that date falls on Memorial Day weekend, ensuring that you have ample time to catch up on all the happenings of the Bluth family.

Plot details haven’t been revealed just yet but we do know that each episode will focus on a different member of the family. There will also be guest appearances from some pretty big names, including but not limited to, Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, John Slattery, Conan O’Brien, Isla Fisher.

To further the excitement, Netflix has also released a new poster for the upcoming season, which fans of the show should get a good laugh out of. You can check it out below.

Seeing as this is still one of my favorite shows of all time, I couldn’t be more excited. To be honest, I’m looking forward to the new season of Arrested Development more than I’m looking forward to just about any summer blockbuster that will be released this year. And I think most fans of the show would agree with that statement.

To think that we’ll be receiving 15 new episodes of one of the most brilliant shows to ever grace our television screens, and to know that we’ll be able to access every episode from day one, well, that thought is almost too much to handle.

So folks, mark it down in your calendars. On May 26th you’ll wake up to 15 brand, new episodes of Arrested Development. It’ll be like Christmas, except without the snow.
