Blindspot Star Joe Dinicol Will Play Ragman in Arrow Season 5

The past couple of seasons of Arrow have received a mixed reaction from fans, and while it's not as if the show is on the cusp of cancellation, it's become clear that it needs to step up in a big way when it returns this October before we completely give up on it. Set to have a big appearance at Comic-Con this weekend, some casting news has leaked out just hours before the show's panel takes place.

The past couple of seasons of Arrow have received a mixed reaction from fans, and while it’s not as if the show is on the cusp of cancellation, it’s become clear that it needs to step up in a big way when it returns this October before we completely give up on it. Set to have a big appearance at Comic-Con this weekend, some casting news has leaked out just hours before the show’s panel takes place.

This one definitely points to The CW series getting something of a shake up, as Joe Dinicol (Blindspot) has been cast as relatively obscure character Rory Regan, a.k.a. Ragman. Another vigilante (in a season which looks set to be full of them), this version of the hero is described as follows:

“Fresh from a personal tragedy, Rory hopes to find answers in Star City, where he ultimately crosses paths with Green Arrow (Stephen Amell).

Dinicol joins an ever expanding cast which so far also includes Chad L. Coleman, Madison McLaughlin, Tyler Ritter, Rick Gonzalez, Carly Pope and Josh Segarra. Plot details about Arrow season five will probably be revealed a little later today, but there’s no denying that the show has assembled a very intriguing line-up of actors and characters this year.

What we do know is that the new season will see Oliver Queen embrace his role as Star City’s mayor, while the flashbacks will explore his time in Russia.

Stay tuned for updates on Arrow later today and let us know what you think of the latest casting news in the comments section below.
